         At New Delhi Railway Station, International Tourist Bureau is  located on first floor of New Delhi Railway Station towards Pahar Ganj End and  is about a kilometre away  from Connaught Place.

  • It is appox. 20-25 km from Indira Gandhi International Airport and appox.16-20 km from Domestic Airport and is well connected by road from all parts of the national capital.
       

  • Pre-paid taxis /auto-rickshaws are readily available round the clock at Indira Gandhi International Airport , Domestic Airport and New Delhi Railway Station.    
     

  •  Delhi Transport Corporation also provide special bus service round the clock.    

  •  These buses ply from Indira Gandhi International Airport to Inter State Bus Terminus via Connaught Place, New Delhi Railway Station Gate No.2 (Ajmeri Gate Side) and Old Delhi Railway Station.

SERVICES PROVIDED BY THE INTERNATIONAL TOURIST BUREAU ( ITB )

Facilities for Foreign Tourists/NRIs

  • It offers  confirmed reservation out of Foreign Tourist quota exclusively for foreign tourist /NRI’s  who wish to travel from one station to another station over Indian Railway.  This facility is available till four hours before the departure of the train from the originating station.
     

  • This facility is available only on production of valid passport and visa.  
     

  • This facility is provided by paying the fare in foreign currency i.e. US Dollars and Sterling Pounds either in cash or through traveller’s cheque. 
     

  • In case payment is made through traveller’s cheque, tourists should note that the traveller’s cheque of only some selected banks are accepted which are listed below :-

INDRAIL PASSES

  • International Tourist Bureau allows to explore the splendour of multi- faceted India by the way of selling INDRAIL PASSES to foreign tourists/NRI’s. These passes are sold by GSAs and Rail Tourist Agents.

  • Indrail Passes not only provide excellent value for money but also  enhances the charm of holidays from abroad. It offers the foreign tourists/NRI’s to travel as they like, over the entire Indian Railways without any route restriction within the period of validity of Indrail Pass. 

  • The tourists can choose Indrail Passes according to their itineraries. 

  • The Indrail Pass holder is not required to pay any reservation fee, super fast charges and safety charges etc. No additional charges are paid for catering service provided in Rajdhani/Shatabdi Express trains.

  • Indrail Passes are very convenient for tourists as they provide flexibility for travel over Indian Railway.  

  • The fares of Indrail Passes are in US Dollars only but  payments can be made either in US Dollars or Sterling Pounds.

* These Indrail Passes are hourly based and validity starts from  the time of the departure of train.

* These passes are valid in one class lower than the class for  which  they are issued when travelling  by  Rajdhani  Express trains i.e. Half day or  One  day  Indrail  Passes  of 1st A C are  valid  in  2 AC and  First Class Indrail Passes  are valid in 3 AC of  Rajdhani Express.

  • Rest of the Indrail Passes are valid in the class for which they are issued of all trains.

  • Second /Sleeper Class Indrail Passes are not valid in Rajdhani/Shatabdi  Express trains.

  • Indrail Passes are available for sale at major Railway Stations  over Indian Railways  viz - Agra Cantt, Agra City, Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Aurangabad, Bangalore City, Howrah, Chennai, Chandigarh, Chennai, Gorakhpur, Hyderabad, Jaipaur, Mumbai, New Delhi, Puttaparthi Town Booking Agency, Rameshwaram, Secunderabad, Trivandrum Central, Vadodara, Varanasi, Vasco da gama  and  Vijayawada.  

  • Certain recognised travel agents are also authorised to sell these passes in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Chennai.

  • Indrail Passes are sold outside India through our General Sales Agents appointed by Indian Railways in Bangladesh,Bahrain, Columbo, Finland, Germany, Oman, South Africa, U.A.E, U.K.
