All tenders of AT Welding shall be only with single shot crucible after 01.04.2015. (The use of multi-shot crucible in A.T. Welding after 01.04.2015 has to be discontinued and will be permitted only as an exception.)

All tenders from 01.01.12 onwards for AT Welding by zonal railways should invariably be invited with Auto tapping thimble technology.

1.   Initial track laying for all new line projects should be carried out by using S/H single rails which should be replaced subsequently by 10/20 rail panels and should be implemented w.e.f 01.04.12 without any exception.

2. Use of AT welding in construction projects should be minimized to the extent possible. Not a single AT weld without PCEs approval.
