President, FROA had written to Prime Minister, Finance Minister & Cabinet Secretary regarding anomalies in recommendations of 6th Central Pay Commission.  Subsequent to this a delegation of FROA was invited to discuss these issues with Secretary(Expenditure), Government of India on 18.7.2008.   During the meeting held in the Ministry of Finance, indications were given that the concerns regarding disparity between IAS and non IAS services, low level increase in salaries of selection grade officers, fixation of HAG and GM grade officers in new grades and low level of increment shall be addressed.

RETENTION OF ACCOMMODATION AT PREVIOUS PLACE OF POSTING ON
TRANSFER TO NEW ZONES.

FROA Governing Council met Chairman, Railway Board on 14 Aug.2007 and apprised him of this situation arising out of recent decision taken in the matter. CRB assured the federation that permission to retain the accommodation will be extended upto 31.03.2008. Besides, normal retention rules as in the case of permanent transfer will also be applicable thereafter. In this connection FROA's letter dt. 08.08.2007 can also be seen.

FROA TENDERS ORAL EVIDENCE BEFORE 6TH CPC

FROA HAS TENDERED ITS ORAL EVIDENCE BEFORE THE 6TH CENTRAL PAY COMMISSION ON DATE i.e. APRIL 2, 2007. SECRETARY GENERAL/FROA ALONGWITH  GOVERNING COUNCIL MEMBERS MADE A DETAILED PRESENTATION . ALL ISSUES/PROPOSALS INCLUDED IN THE MEMORANDUM WERE DISCUSSED IN A THREAD BARE MANNER. IT WAS HEARTENING TO NOTE THAT  HON’BLE CHAIRMAN AND OTHER MEMBERS OF THE COMMISSION  INTERACTED ON MOST OF THE ISSUES WHICH INDICATED  THEIR LEVEL OF INTEREST IN THE ORAL EVIDENCE BY FROA. WHILE CONCLUDING HON’BLE CHAIRMAN AND OTHER MEMBERS APPRECIATED THE PRESENTATION.
 

6TH CENTRAL PAY COMMISSION INVITES FROA FOR ORAL EVIDENCE

6th Central Pay Commission have invited FROA to tender its oral evidence and hearing on April 2, 2007.  Although a memorandum from FROA has  been submitted to the commission, any additional information, suggestions, demands etc. can also be placed now before the commission during the course of oral evidence. All Federating Units of FROA are, therefore, requested to communicate immediately if any such additional information has been left out in the  memorandum. This may be given wide publicity.
