Sub: Exemption from payment of Wagon Registration Fee

           In continuation of Board’s letter of even number dated 05.07.2005 (Rates Circular No. 39/2005), it has also been decided to exempt Military traffic booked on Military Credit Notes, from the payment of  Wagon Registration Fee.

           Accordingly, Para No. 1411 in Chapter XIV of Indian Railway Code for Traffic(Comml.) Department, Revised Edition 1993 may be modified. An advance correction slip no14 to this code is enclosed for information and necessary action.

      Also, Rule No. 201(6) of Goods Tariff No.41 Part1 (Vol.1), may please be modified accordingly.

            The instruction will come into force  with immediate effect.  

            This issues in consultation with the Finance and Traffic Transportation   Directorates in the Ministry of Railways.
