                       Sub:  Increase in permissible carrying capacity of BOXN wagons on iron ore routes.

                        Ref: (i)  Board’s letter of even number dated 10.05.2005, 02.06.2005 & 13.07.2005 
                                      (Rates Circulars No. 25, 29 & 42 of 2005)

                                       (ii)  Board’s letter No.2003/CE-II/TS/5 Vol.1 dated 04.05.2005


1.0        In continuation of Board’s letters referred above, it has now been decided to include following two routes for running of BOXN wagons, loaded upto CC+8 tonnes with an additional 2 tonnes loading tolerance, as part of  pilot project: 

(i)  Adityapur-Kharagpur-Panskura-Halidia, and

(ii) Kharagpur-Rupsa-Bhadrak-Jakhapura           

2.0        The other terms and conditions, as mentioned in the letters referred above, shall continue to apply unchanged for these routes also.

3.0        This instruction will come into force w.e.f.    22 .07.2005.

4.0        This issues with the approval of Civil Engineering, Traffic Transportation and Finance Directorates of Railway Board.

5.0        This instruction is also available on Indian Railway’s official website www.indianrailways.gov.in.
