Joint Procedure Order(JPO): Electronic Payment System.
Please refer to Board’s letter of even No.
dated 03.12.2004 under which a Joint Procedure Order (JPO) for
implementation of electronic payment system of freight through e-banking
for Badarpur Thermal Power Station was issued as a Pilot Scheme. The
letter ibid also envisaged review of the scheme after three months.
The matter has been reviewed and it has been
decided that the pilot scheme of electronic payment of freight for
Badarpur Thermal Power Station shall remain in operation till further
advise on the existing terms and conditions as advised in the JPO referred
to above. Railways may also go ahead with the scheme in accordance with
the JPO ibid for extending the electronic payment system to other
interested customers under intimation to this office.
It is also requested to furnish your
comments after examination of JPO and discussion with prospective users
and bankers latest by 30th June, 2005 positively for Board’s
appraisal.
Kindly acknowledge receipt and take
necessary action accordingly.
