SUB: Transportation of rail coaches owned by Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Ltd. (DMRC) from BEML(Bangalore) to DMRC Depot,  Shastri Park (Shahdara), Delhi : Special lump-sum haulage charges.
REF: Railway Board’s letter of even no dated 23.12.2003 & 12.03.2004(Rates Circular No.34 of  2003) & (Rates Circular No 7 of 2004).

          Further to Board’s letter referred to above, it has been decided to levy the following special lumpsum haulage charges for the movement of 12 DMRC rail coaches at a maximum speed of 40 kmph from BEML, Bangalore to Delhi Shahdara. The movement of three metro trains (rail car special ), consisting of 12 coaches each , from Bangalore to Delhi will be one time movement.

          The composite haulage charges have been worked by the BEML, Baiyyappanahalli – Dharmavaram – Balaharshah – Tuglakabad – Delhi Shahdara route, the shortest route between BEML and Shahdara.  In case, the agency selects a dearer route, Board may be intimated for advising the composite haulage charges by the dearer route.  

          BOX ‘N’ wagons will not be used as Dummy wagons. 

          Zonal railways are required to obtain an undertaking from the agency authorized by M/s DMRC, for coordinating the movement of these rail coaches, that they would be liable to clear the undercharges raised on movement of these coaches due to any change in the movement parameters expeditiously and to indemnify the Railways.                      

           All other terms and conditions stipulated in Board’s letters referred to above may be scrupulously observed. 

           This issues with the concurrence of the Finance Directorate in the Ministry of Railways.
