circular No. 18 /2005
GOVERNMENT OF INDIA (BHARAT SARKAR)
MINISTRY OF RAILWAYS (RAIL MANTRALAYA)
(RAILWAY BOARD)
| No.TC-I/2005/104/1. |
New Delhi, dated 28
-03-2005 |
The
General Managers(Comml.),
All Indian Railways,
Sub: Payment of freight through
Credit Note-cum-Cheque by consignors : furnishing of
Security Deposit.
In
terms of Board’s
letter No. TC-1/95/104/3 dated 16.01.97, the facility of payment of
freight by Credit Note-cum-Cheque (CNCC) on furnishing
of security bond to select Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) having
transactions with Railways and also having good
financial track record was introduced. The same was extended time to time
and last it was extended vide Board’s letter
No. TC-1/95/104/3 dated 16.4.2004 till
16.04.05.
The matter has been
examined and it has been decided to extend the scheme further beyond
17.04.2005 until further advice subject to the condition that
Zonal Railways will carry out
annual review of the scheme on a case-to case basis
and the extension will be granted with the concurrence of FA&CAOs.
All other terms and conditions circulated earlier continue to apply
unchanged.
Zonal Railways, while extending this facility to PSUs may satisfy
themselves that the concerned PSUs have paid all dues and have
satisfactory record of freight transactions during the
year.
This issues with the
concurrence of the Finance Directorate in the Ministry of Railways.
